How to compare scenarios
Use EPD scenarios to compare Document Baseline results with product-specific options, and mark one scenario as the project Reference Case.

Steps
8 steps- 1Open scenario analysisGo to the Scenario Analysis tab in your project.
- 2Create a scenarioClick 'Create Scenario' and give it a clear name.
- 3Choose a materialSelect the material category you want to swap.
- 4Search for an EPDFind a product-specific EPD that matches your material.
- 5Review EPD detailsConfirm the functional unit, scope and validity period.
- 6Apply to matching itemsMap the EPD to the relevant line items in the project.
- 7Review the reductionCompare the scenario total with the Document Baseline result.
- 8Set a reference caseOptionally mark Document Baseline or a scenario as the project Reference Case for comparisons.

Quick check
Only select EPDs that match the actual product, material type and functional unit.
Reference Case vs Document Baseline
Document Baseline is the document calculation baseline used for reductions. The Reference Case is the optional project-wide scenario you choose as the comparison base.
Good scenario names
Low-carbon concrete option · Supplier EPD scenario · Tender proposed scenario · Combined EPD scenario.
Common issue: The EPD has a different unit
Check the unit conversion before using the reduction result.
Common issue: The reduction looks too large
Check that the EPD was applied only to relevant line items.
